The project “Thermal waters for health and for mutual knowledge“ is focusing on the promotion of tourism in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia by developing and organising travel packages which are suitable for third age population, but not exclusively for them. In order to diversify the offer, the content of the travel packages is of two types: thermal/spa and cultural. In fact, the specific objective of the project is to develop and organise a tourism offer which is primarily focused on health, socialisation, recreation and cultural aspects and is above all oriented towards the senior people.
The following activities are foreseen: the elaboration of the marketing material in Italian and Slovene, which is realised (both graphically and conceptually) in line with the needs of the customers to whom it is devoted; specific meetings with presentations of the Spa Centres situated in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia; organisation of trips in order to explore the geographical area; organisation of additional activities; realisation of a website which will present tourism offers and tourism products for the third age.
The period of project implementation: May 2005 – April 2007. The project is developed in the Italian Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia (including the Province of Trieste and the Province of Gorizia) and in the two Slovenian regions of Goriška and Obalno kraška.
